The morphological structure (the gorges,canyons)of the region , its warm climate and rich flora has enriched the animal species.It is possible to find almost all kinds of reptile , mamals and birds.

Few examples:Spotted tortoise, turtle , spined and grooved lizard , chameleon, large fingered angle fish, hazer-snake, spurry snake, horned adder , Brown bear , bobcat , one humped camel , deer ,red deer, goat , red goat. It has been observed that there are 180 kinds of birds in Dalyan, which is also known as the `Birds Heaven`.

Halycon and Parti-colored halcyon are the most important ones.
