Dalyan, known as Calbis in ancient ages, is the name of a cosy holiday town situated along the costline of the natural canal resembling fjords, which connects Koycegiz Lake to the sea.

The rapid structuring, initiated parallel to the developments in tourism was taken under control in 1989 through announcement of the region as a Special Environment Conservation Area.
This area that has remained a naturally unspoilt village for years is far away from excessive development also today.
