Under the climate of Mediterranean, Dalyan has the flora of Mediterranean Maquis are everywhere in the region.The important trees of this maquis are oak ,daphne, groom plant and rosebay.In the forest are also red pine and sweetgum trees (günlük tree) People call it günlük,in industry it is called sığla.In latin,it is `Liquidamber orientalls`.

Only Canada and Turkey it is found as forest.It has a nice smelling resin at its trunk. This resin is used in medical and cosmetic industries as perfumes and soaps.Its odor is also mystical.People make medicines from this resin which is good for ulcer and skin disease.
